Livestream of a press conference & general meeting for 1 FC Köln
For the 1st FC Cologne we were able to implement an extensive press conference and subsequent general meeting as a professional livestream from Cologne. The aim was to broadcast the content of the event reliably, transparently and in high quality to a large digital audience.
This project provides an insight into how technically demanding event formats in the sports and club environment can be realized as live streams - from planning to production to transmission.
Content framework of the event
The focus was on topics that are currently of intense concern to the association and its members:
● the stand around the Goat house
● Classifications in the context of the Conference of Interior Ministers
● the much-discussed Ticketing and the future ticket strategy
● the direct exchange between association committees and members in the second part of the event
A stable and clearly understandable transmission is essential, especially for formats with a high level of public attention and internal relevance.
Technical implementation of the livestream
A multi-camera-based production with central image control was implemented for the broadcast. This meant that speeches as well as audience reactions and discussion situations could be captured flexibly.
Special focus was placed on:
● stable transmission even with a high number of simultaneous viewers
● clear speech intelligibility in a large event room
● a calm, professional image design despite dynamic program points
● a smooth flow between the official part of the program and the members' dialogue
Such events show how important experience in the technical support of sensitive live formats is - especially when content is perceived both internally and publicly.
Atmosphere on site
In addition to the formal topics, the emotional component of the evening was also noticeable. The event thrived on the direct dialog between the association, managers and members. After the official part of the event, many guests took the opportunity to talk to each other personally - a moment that underlined the close ties within the association.
Project focus
This project is exemplary for the implementation of high-quality livestream productions in the environment of associations and organizations with a wide reach. It shows how technical precision, structured planning and a sensitive understanding of the context of the event must work together.
